My name is Kira Rockwell (she/her) I’m a playwright and educator based. Through a trauma informed, healing centered lens, I aim to nurture communal spaces that disrupt passivity and empower agency. The stories I write are an altar-call of catharsis. They are a visceral ritual that opens portals to realms beyond the physical, if only for a fleeting moment.

When I’m not writing or teaching, you can probably find me sipping on iced coffee at the park with my creative husband and our sweet lab, or trying to talk to a caterpillar.
